QUESTIONS OF THE MONTH - NOVEMBER 2012
22nd November 2012
Vladimíra: Hi Mark, the European Tour Championship was introduced last week in Bulgaria. It is next country in Europe, where this action promotes snooker. In the Princess hotel there was a lot of visitors and I think that it is the same in every European country that you visit. It is comfortable for you if the venue is close to the place of your accommodation and your boarding. Was that so even that time? How did you like it?
Mark: Yes I liked it. The promoter and organisers did a fantastic job for their first tournament.
I look forward to going back next year.
Vladimira: When I watch your game, I can see, that you still enjoy snooker. Do you have a recipe about it? It is a very busy season and you are the player who doesn't miss any tournaments.
Mark: I love playing snooker and I also like travelling and seeing other countries, so this is not
a hardship for me. I am a full time travelling professional, so I have to get use to being away from home.
Vladimira: Mark, how you fight exhaustion during season? Do you plan training hours yourself? Do you have a special diet? Today a psychologist is an integral part of training. Do you have
a psychologist who helps you?
Mark: No I don't have a psychologist. I do try and exercise regularly and try and eat as healthy as possible at home and on tour.
Vladimíra: In front of us there is the UK Championship in York Barbican. Could it be the right time for Mark Selby to reach the next title in a big tournament? :-)
Mark: Really looking forward to the UK Champs, great city and venue, as always I will be giving my best and hope to win it! :-)
Thank you, Mark. All the best until next time.
