QUESTIONS OF THE MONTH - APRIL 2012
17th April 2012
Vladimira: Hi Mark, the snooker season is nearing the end. In front of us there is the last and the most prestigious tournament of this season - the World Championship in Sheffield.
It is great news, that pain in your neck is getting better and you might be completely fit next week for first round of the World Championship at the Crucible. You had very consistent season. What pleased you the most? What was the most positive moment in this season?
Mark: Winning the Shanghai Masters, breaking my own record of most century breaks in a season and getting to World No 1.
Vladimíra: The World Championship has always unrepeatable atmosphere. What about your past memories? I remember a lot of your matches, for example your first participation in the World Championship in 2005, your advancing to the final with John Higgins in 2007 or to semi-finals with Graeme Dott two years ago. What are your indelible memories from the World Championship.
Mark: Getting to the final in 2007.
Vladimíra: Matches on the World Championship are very long and therefore strenuous. Each player would like to win. What do you think is the best way to cope with pressure during the tournament?
Mark: To keep relaxed in between matches.
Vladimíra: Your deserved rest is waiting for you after the World Championship. Do you know how are you going to spend your holiday?
Mark: With my wife Vikki relaxing in the Caribbean for 2 weeks
Vladimíra: Mark, your first match against Barry Hawkins will start on Tuesday 25th April at 7pm. We wish you not only a lot of luck for the World Championship but also complete recovery for next seasons.
Have a good time and I am looking forward to our next „Questions of the Month“ in June.
Thank you, Mark. All the best until next time.
